Job summary

Drexel University is seeking an Education Abroad Advisor to support and promote education abroad opportunities for students. The role focuses on advising students before, during, and after study abroad experiences while administering select programs in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, and Latin America.

The advisor works closely with students, faculty, campus partners, and international stakeholders to strengthen participation in international education through both credit and non-credit

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in international education is required.
  • Experience in education abroad is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote education abroad programs and support student recruitment efforts.
  • Advise and support students before, during, and after study abroad experiences.
  • Administer select programs in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, and Latin America.
  • Manage and advise faculty and students participating in non-credit experiences abroad.
  • Provide application guidance and conduct information sessions for students.
  • Coordinate and support pre-departure activities and orientation content.
  • Communicate with campus and international stakeholders.
  • Develop marketing campaigns and presentations related to international education programs.
  • Support curriculum integration efforts connected to study abroad opportunities.
  • Participate in site visits related to education abroad programs.
  • Assist with office operations and administrative support.
  • Support international service learning, research, athletics, and conference experiences abroad.

This position also supports non-credit experiences abroad, including international service learning, research, athletics, and conferences. Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in international education
  • Experience in education abroad preferred
  • Ability to advise and support students in an international education environment
  • Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends
