Bristol Myers Squibb Co is seeking an Associate Director, Drug Development Excellence in New Jersey. You will advance DD strategy and enable high-quality execution across cross-functional initiatives, focusing on end-to-end process improvements and AI-enabled operations.

The role emphasizes performance management, data analytics, and partnering with business leaders to drive measurable improvements across Drug Development domains in a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in operational excellence or strategy roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience within Drug Development functions (Clinical Development, Trial Operations, Biostatistics, Regulatory, Safety, or Project Management) is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct deep process and ways-of-working analysis and link process health to KPIs.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies; familiarity with digital enablement tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep data-driven analysis of end-to-end Drug Development processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Translate analysis insights into actionable recommendations, linking process health to KPIs and outcomes.
• Map, document, and maintain process maps and operating frameworks for day-to-day execution.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with defined scope, plans, and value realization.
• Identify and embed AI-ready digital solutions to improve processes and enable new ways of working.
