Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Boston is hiring an Associate Director Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management across a portfolio of construction projects. You will liaise with clients and consultants, guide a cost management team, and deliver high-quality QS services for life sciences, healthcare, education and institutional projects.

The role requires excellent communication, a self-motivated, team-oriented leader with the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related construction field.
• Graduate degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction Management, or Engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in cost management within construction; consultancy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a cost management team and interface with the client and consultants at all project stages.
• Perform quantity surveying, cost controls and change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain excellent communication with client and other consultants across stages of projects.
• Coordinate/assist with strategic and operational management of Cost Management and Project Controls Services.
• Be the first point of contact for reporting on the overall commercial status of a project.
• Drive best practices in cost management and project controls at all stages.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates and products.
• Undertake staff performance reviews and mentor talent.
