Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Boston is seeking an Associate Director Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management services for a portfolio of construction projects in the Greater Boston area, spanning life sciences, healthcare, education and institutional sectors.

You will drive client interfaces, lead a cost management team, manage cost controls and reporting, and mentor rising professionals across project lifecycles to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in a construction-related field as a prerequisite.
• Experience leading cost management and quantity surveying on multiple project types.
• RICS certification or equivalent accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management services for client portfolios across major projects.
• Interface with client, stakeholders and consultants at all stages of projects.
• Manage cost controls, change management and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide KPI-based performance oversight and drive best-practice delivery.
• Coach and mentor staff, supporting talent development and performance reviews.
• Coordinate internal systems and audits to maintain quality procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost management processes and tools.
• Deliver regular client updates and reporting on commercial status.
