Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Associate Director Cost Manager to lead cost management services for major construction programs in California. You will manage internal and external stakeholders and deliver cost management across all project stages.

The ideal candidate shows strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to lead and collaborate with project teams in a client-facing environment. On-site leadership and strategic direction are key to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• SME in Quantity Surveying, and RICS certified or equivalent accreditation.
• Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management team and ensure delivery of accountabilities.
• Interface with client, stakeholders and consultants at all stages.
• Maintain excellent communication with client and consultants.
• Perform quantity surveying, cost controls and change management across the lifecycle.
• Act as primary reporting contact for overall commercial status of a project.
• Drive best practice in cost management and project controls.
