We are seeking a high energy, data driven, results-oriented Carrier Excellence/Lean Leader to facilitate the transformation of our world class factories in Carrier Residential, specifically our Indianapolis furnace factory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of lean processes across the Indianapolis manufacturing site
  • Create the lean vision and implement a lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead‑time, and waste at both plants and associated suppliers
  • Drive measurable improvements that support metrics for customer delivery, productivity, and product flow
  • Formulate plans and teams to develop pull systems, training personnel, and other activities to achieve world‑class process flow
  • Develop value stream maps for the organization and eliminate process waste through implementation of lean techniques
  • Guide plant teams in developing and executing lean plans to reduce inventory, lead‑time, and waste and to improve process quality
  • Promote Six Sigma/Lean integration utilizing strength of both methods to achieve business goals
  • Assist Plant Managers in establishing product flow for plant value streams utilizing visual management tools
  • Encourage use of lean tools to pull material from suppliers and internal sources/customers
  • Train site on lean concepts and mentor people using lean tools
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of experience in productivity improvement and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting
  • Master’s Degree with 7+ years of experience in productivity improvement and continuous improvement within a manufacturing setting
Preferred Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Deep experience with current continuous service techniques, including involvement with kaizen, value stream mapping, one-piece flow, Action Work Outs, 3P, and/or other lean tools
  • Experience in a manufacturing leadership position across multiple facilities using current production and process techniques
  • Effective at leading change and influencing at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to tailor communications to different audiences
