Job summary

The Indianapolis manufacturing plant for Carrier Global Corporation has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. You will troubleshoot equipment, implement maintenance plans, and lead efficiency-improving initiatives in a high-volume environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Operations or Engineering, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Operations or Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; experience in fast-paced manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies as the technical expert.
• Troubleshoot equipment and tooling; provide support to maintenance, tool room and production.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance procedures.
• Lead Kaizen events to improve line output and efficiency.
• Ensure equipment is released to production after maintenance or repairs.
• Drive cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvements.
• Promote adherence to OSHA regulations and Carrier EH&S policies.
• Foster positive relations with union representatives per the CBA.
