Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking a senior engineering/production leader at the Clayton, NC aseptic manufacturing site. You will drive strategic and tactical improvements, mentor a team, and ensure high uptime and compliance with quality objectives across the site.

You will lead a cross-functional team, develop long-term plans, and champion standardized maintenance and process improvements in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Master’s degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
• Minimum seven (7) years of manufacturing environment experience required, preferably in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
• Minimum seven (7) years of leadership experience in engineering, manufacturing, or maintenance required, with a preference toward pharmaceutical or other regulated industries.
• Experience driving process improvements/design using systematic methodologies, LEAN & Six Sigma strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead tactical and long-term strategic activities to drive process and technical improvements within the department.
• Ensure engagement, motivation and development of employees in the team.
• Accountable for maximum uptime of equipment to support site production schedules.
• Develop long-term technical and process improvement plans and drive standardization across shift teams.
• Champion systematic problem solving (SPS) and ensure compliance with quality objectives.
