Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Clayton, NC, is hiring a Manager, Technical Support (Aseptic Production) to lead a 24/7 technical team in an expanding aseptic production environment. The role centers on optimizing processes, equipment, and systems to improve efficiency, availability, and quality.

The position requires strong supervisory experience, technical leadership, and a focus on process improvement, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field with seven years of related experience considered.
• High school diploma with nine years of experience considered.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Manufacturing, Maintenance, Process or equivalent industry experience required.
• Minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership related to technical activities or improvement project initiatives preferred.
• Knowledgeable in pharmaceutical utilities and production systems; Six Sigma experience preferred.
• Proven mentoring/development and cross-functional collaboration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of the assigned technical team and standardize practices across shifts.
• Ensure equipment is designed, available, capable and accessible to meet production and business requirements.
• Drive execution and improvement of technical tasks aligned with site targets.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement resulting process improvements.
• Schedule and execute plans in coordination with development or manufacturing schedules.
• Coach direct reports to ensure a high performing collaborative team environment.
• Provide continuous feedback, structure and accountability to improve team performance.
• Lead technical discussions and problem solving.
• Create and implement KPIs for areas of responsibility.
• Collaborate with department leadership on training, development, coaching, performance management, recruitment and employee relations.
• Uphold the Novo Nordisk Way and safety/environmental requirements.
• Other accountabilities as assigned.
