Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Clayton, NC is seeking a Manager, Technical Support (Aseptic Production) to lead a 24/7 technical team, optimize processes and ensure equipment readiness to meet production and quality goals. The role requires strong supervisory skills and deep experience in manufacturing utilities and aseptic processes.

You will drive continuous improvements, coach staff, and align activities with site targets while maintaining safety and Novo Nordisk standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field plus 7 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience.
• High school diploma plus 9 years of manufacturing/maintenance experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Maintenance or Process roles.
• Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
• Knowledgeable in pharmaceutical utilities and related systems; cLEAN/Six Sigma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of the assigned technical team and standardize practices across shifts.
• Ensure equipment is designed, available, capable and accessible to meet production requirements.
• Execute and improve technical tasks aligned with project or site targets.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement process improvements to equipment performance and quality.
• Schedule and execute plans in coordination with development or manufacturing schedules.
• Coach direct reports to maintain a high performing team environment.
• Provide feedback and accountability to improve team performance.
• Drive technical discussions and problem solving.
• Develop and implement KPIs for areas of responsibility.
• Collaborate with leadership on training, development, performance management and recruitment.
• Uphold the Novo Nordisk Way and safety/environmental standards.
