Position Overview

The Associate Director of Admission will lead the recruitmentefforts for Founder’s College at Butler University and play a keyrole in attracting and enrolling students who are seekingalternative pathways to higher education. This role willcollaborate closely with the Executive Director of Admission atButler University to develop and implement recruitment strategies,manage admission processes, and ensure an exceptional experiencefor prospective students from inquiry to enrollment.

The Associate Director will create and coordinate outreachinitiatives to develop and cultivate relationships withcommunity-based organizations, high schools, and otherorganizations in the Indianapolis area that align with Founder’scommitment to increasing education access to high-potentialstudents who have historically been underserved by highereducation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Admission Assistant for Founder’s College.
• Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment plans to attractprospective students from diverse backgrounds.
• Build and maintain relationships with high schools, communityorganizations, employers, and other stakeholders to promote thecollege and increase student referrals. Represent Founder’s collegeat related events.
• Coordinate and execute recruitment events, such as open houses,information sessions, and college fairs, to showcase the college'sprograms and opportunities.
• Oversee the admission process, including application review,evaluation of credentials, and admissions decisions, ensuringefficiency and accuracy.
• Work closely with the Associate Director of Financial Aid forFounder’s College to support students through the admissions andenrollment process.
• Collaborate with academic departments and student services tosupport seamless transitions for admitted students and facilitatetheir integration into the college community.
• Serve as a resource for prospective students and theirfamilies, providing guidance and assistance throughout theadmissions and enrollment processes.
• Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track recruitmentefforts, assess outcomes, and identify areas for improvement.
• Stay informed about trends and best practices in admissions andhigher education, actively participating in professionaldevelopment opportunities and networks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum five years’ experience working in higher education,preferably in college admissions or a related field
• Experience working with historically underrepresentedstudents.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing recruitmentstrategies to meet enrollment goals and targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with theability to engage diverse audiences and build relationships withstakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and admissions managementsystems; experience with CRM software
• Experience in recruitment, admissions and student advising
• Knowledge of the Indianapolis community (high schools,community-based organizations)
• Comfortable in a dynamic startup environment incl. significantamounts of autonomy
• Passionate about access, affordability, and equity in highereducation
• Ability to work independently with little supervision
• Ability to travel
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Driver’s license recommended for extensive travel withinIndianapolis metro area
  • Subject to driver’s record and insurance eligibilityrequirements

• Bi/multilingual, a plus
• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud, Slate
