An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Delivery Manager to lead cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Agile methodologies to drive project success and enhance team performance. You will work closely with technology and business stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective communication while managing risks and dependencies. What will you be doing in this role?
• Overall, you lead 1-3 cross functional development teams in matrix organization, and/or 1-2 end-to-end strategic projects that involve many teams. You deploy your Agile and project management expertise across teams and projects, working closely with technology and product/business stakeholders.
• You drive your team(s) to deliver value, improve the flow of work & delivery of out-put/outcomes; and reduce the bottleneck & minimize waste. You proactively understand & manage your teams'/projects' risks, issues & dependencies.
• Your teams have a documented ‘ways of working’ (Agile and other), and you facilitate or co-facilitate or train/delegate others in the team to run scheduled ceremonies such as the Agile ceremonies: Sprint planning, Sprint reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog refinement, Daily Scrum, Scrum of Scrums, and project specific: dependency management, release planning, quarterly planning / PI planning, others.
• Your team(s)/project(s) have a well-understood approach to prioritization, scoping, decision-making, planning & forecasting at both ticket & project level.
• You are constantly engaged in dependencies management (outside the teams) and Impediment removal.
• Your reporting is timely, accurate, clear and data driven. Your stakeholders always know what is going on in your team or project and what they need to do.
• You ably facilitate and manage discussions & organize efficient, purposeful and well-written meetings, including technical discussions, within your multidisciplinary teams as well as up/downstream dependent/contributing teams.
• You actively manage the partnership of Tech and Product and are a valued escalation point for any team member and can resolve issues within your team.
• Your teams have a clear & continuous improvement cycle, with a measurable history of proactively engaging with and improving their most pressing problems; the Delivery Manager will often lead in pushing for change outside their team(s) /project(s) where it is necessary.
• You are able to command respect through your work, and not your title. Teams will not be reporting into you, yet you will be expected to have influence.
Product you will be supporting
• You will be a part of the Delivery Management Team and potentially work with any of the A&G development teams and crown jewel products, such as Web of Science and Incites.
