Job description

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with project management working with traditional project management areas and agile frameworks, within software development environments and roles such as Agile Project Manager, Scrum Master, Delivery Manager
  • Demonstrated history working with various SDLC Methodologies, with recent experience in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFE, Scaled Agile and others
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in End-to-End project management (delivery management) including: Initiation; Planning; Development; Execution; Delivery; & Monitoring and Reporting.
  • Demonstrable strong experience using MS Office applications including a good background with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrable experience with coordination and communications with Technology and Business stakeholders, including senior stakeholders at Director and above levels in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, teams and priorities
  • Strong communication skills: You should have many years of experience in communications which are proactive, professional, helpful, and polite in tone. Your comms style, both spoken and written, is clear and concise. Your reporting is timely, accurate, clear and data driven. You are able to facilitate and manage discussions, including technical discussions, within your multidisciplinary teams and up/downstream of them. Strong negotiation and conflict management experience.

It would be great if you also had

  • Professional training/certification in Agile & traditional project management such as: Scrum Master, SAFe, Scaled Agile, PMP
  • Work experience (at least 2 years) working with JIRA, Confluence and any project scheduling/planning tools.
  • You are fluent in understanding, measuring, and improving outcome metrics of the team and are hands-on with Jira (or other tools) and project & board administration.
  • Track record of driving Agile adoption and creating self-sufficient project team culture and any exposure to Agile transformation.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional and global teams with diverse styles, skills, and abilities across cultures.

What will you be doing in this role?
• Overall, you lead 1-3 cross functional development teams in matrix organization, and/or 1-2 end-to-end strategic projects that involve many teams. You deploy your Agile and project management expertise across teams and projects, working closely with technology and product/business stakeholders.
• You drive your team(s) to deliver value, improve the flow of work & delivery of out-put/outcomes; and reduce the bottleneck & minimize waste. You proactively understand & manage your teams'/projects' risks, issues & dependencies.
• Your teams have a documented ‘ways of working’ (Agile and other), and you facilitate or co-facilitate or train/delegate others in the team to run scheduled ceremonies such as the Agile ceremonies: Sprint planning, Sprint reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog refinement, Daily Scrum, Scrum of Scrums, and project specific: dependency management, release planning, quarterly planning / PI planning, others.
• Your team(s)/project(s) have a well-understood approach to prioritization, scoping, decision-making, planning & forecasting at both ticket & project level.
• You are constantly engaged in dependencies management (outside the teams) and Impediment removal.
• Your reporting is timely, accurate, clear and data driven. Your stakeholders always know what is going on in your team or project and what they need to do.
• You ably facilitate and manage discussions & organize efficient, purposeful and well-written meetings, including technical discussions, within your multidisciplinary teams as well as up/downstream dependent/contributing teams.
• You actively manage the partnership of Tech and Product and are a valued escalation point for any team member and can resolve issues within your team.
• Your teams have a clear & continuous improvement cycle, with a measurable history of proactively engaging with and improving their most pressing problems; the Delivery Manager will often lead in pushing for change outside their team(s) /project(s) where it is necessary.
• You are able to command respect through your work, and not your title. Teams will not be reporting into you, yet you will be expected to have influence.

Product you will be supporting
• You will be a part of the Delivery Management Team and potentially work with any of the A&G development teams and crown jewel products, such as Web of Science and Incites.

About the Team

  • You will be part of & report into Delivery Management Team. In a matrix organization, you will be assigned to one or more Development Teams and one or more end to end projects.
  • A typical development team size is 3-7 and a typical end-to-project involved 2-4 teams.

  • The A&G teams are global teams spread across the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Serbia, Spain and other locations. We emphasize a culture of creativity and independence to foster collaboration and innovation within the team. We work closely with our partners in product, dev ops, UX, data science/AI, production support and other teams in Clarivate to provide products that accelerate the speed at which research is undertaken and published.

Hours of Work

  • Team member will be based out of Bangalore, India, working from our Bangalore office.
  • The position is open to working in a hybrid working model that works from a Clarivate office (majority of time) and from home. Policy may change in future.
  • Ideally, the team member will be able to work up to morning hours in Eastern time.
