Job summary

Laurel Ridge Community College invites applications for an Associate Dean-School of Professional and Technical Studies. This 12-month administrative faculty role reports to the Dean of Professional and Technical Studies and directly hires, supervises, and evaluates adjunct faculty within the school.

The position covers programs in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, and more, with travel to multiple college locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in an academic discipline or related field.
• Administrative/leadership experience in higher education.
• College teaching experience.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership to the School of Professional Programs.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, supervise, evaluate adjunct faculty.
• Support school operations including class scheduling and budgeting.
• Represent the Dean in student-related matters and issues.
• Develop strategic, student-centered class schedules.
• Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support assessment activities and program reviews.
• Strengthen CTE programs in collaboration with K-12 and industry.
