UTMB Health seeks Associate Dean for Program Development to provide strategic leadership and oversight for education and professional development programs. The role reports to the Dean and works with Associate Deans to support operations of the designated school.

Responsibilities include planning, developing new programs and tracks, creating curricula, supervising assessments, and fostering collaboration across faculties to reflect best practices in biomedical education and workforce readiness.

Formación

• PhD or MD in a field related to the designated school or program.
• Five years of leadership experience in an academic health science center or research-intensive institution directing educational programs.
• Proven mentoring of faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students.

Responsabilidades

• Leads the planning, execution, and assessment of the designated school or program.
• Leads development of new programs, tracks, certificates or concentrations.
• Develops new courses and curricular plans for new programs.
• Leads course and program assessments and curricular revisions.
• Collaborates with faculty and leadership to reflect best educational practices in biomedical science education.
• Supports training grant-aligned curricula and professional development initiatives.
• Develops externally funded training programs with departments and leadership.
• Plans and supports professional development activities with programs and staff.
• Oversees student lab selection to support training resources.
