Job summary

UTMB Health is seeking a Program Director of Translational Research Education to lead curriculum design and implementation for translational biomedical sciences education. The role involves coordinating faculty, staff, and students to deliver high-quality educational programs and outcomes-driven assessment.

The position requires collaboration with ITS and partner institutions, oversight of grants, and active participation in conferences and accreditation processes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education or higher education with 5 years of translational biomedical sciences experience.
• Experience in grant writing, preparation and management.
• Familiarity with educational accreditation standards and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven program development and management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and enhance curriculum for translational biomedical sciences education programs.
• Collaborate with faculty to align content with current research trends.
• Oversee program administration including scheduling and activities.
• Assist with recruitment strategies for PhD and MS programs.
• Support student progress, retention, and career development.
• Collect and analyze data to identify program improvements.
