Job summary

William Paterson University seeks an Associate Dean for the School of Nursing to provide leadership for the development, growth, and continuous improvement of nursing programs, ensuring accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance while fostering student success and partnerships with healthcare providers.

The role partners with the Dean of COSH and Chairpersons to drive strategic planning, program data analysis, and budget oversight, advancing faculty development and workforce-aligned

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing education leadership and program oversight.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards (CCNE, NJ Board of Nursing).
• Budget management, strategic planning, and reporting experience.
• Strong collaboration with faculty, staff, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality for nursing programs and accreditation; oversees CCNE/NJ Board of Nursing reaccreditation activities and self-studies.
• Serves on internal and external councils; represents the School of Nursing in committees and events.
• Leads Nursing Advisory Committee meetings and organizes external member involvement; seeks grants and external funding.
• Manages program data, KPIs, and alignment with institutional priorities; monitors budgets in collaboration with COSH Dean.
• Guides strategic planning for the School of Nursing and supports faculty development and evaluation processes.
• Engages with Registrar, Admissions, and other offices to support student success and program integrity.
