Job summary

Mercy University in New York seeks an Undergraduate Associate Dean for the School of Nursing to provide operational and academic leadership, supporting excellence in nursing education. The role works with faculty, staff, and administrators to advance the Nursing Programs' mission and ensure accreditation compliance.

The position requires leadership in governance, curriculum development, assessment, and teaching, with a twelve-month contract and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in nursing or related field (DNP, EdD, or PhD) with at least one graduate degree in nursing.
• Minimum seven years of teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
• Rank of Associate or Professor required.
• Five years of progressive administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment within the department.
• Oversee daily undergraduate nursing program operations and scheduling.
• Assist in budget planning, resource allocation, and strategic planning.
• Lead curriculum review and alignment with accreditation standards and licensure.
• Ensure program integrity, assessment, and outcome evaluation processes.
• Teach a minimum of 12 credits annually to maintain teaching excellence.
