Job summary

New York Law School (NYLS) in Tribeca seeks a highly motivated Associate Dean for Academic Advising and Career Planning to serve on the Law School’s senior leadership team.

The Associate Dean will lead a coordinated group of student advisors and support staff who provide expert counselling and guidance to students across a broad range of areas, starting from the time a student is admitted through graduation and beyond, including bar exam and post-graduation career support.

Qualifications

• 10 or more years of experience in a leadership role at a law school.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of advisors providing curriculum and career guidance from day one through graduation.
• Oversee budget, policies, and operations of the Office of Academic Planning and Career Development.
• Develop and expand employer relations and placement opportunities for students and alumni.
• Supervise staff (approx. 10) and oversee data collection, reporting and program assessment.
• Coordinate with academic affairs, bar support, registrar and student life to support student success.
