Job summary

Brooklyn Law School, located in Downtown Brooklyn, New York, seeks an Associate or Assistant Director of Academic Success to lead its Academic and Student Success program. You will work with the Associate Dean on initiatives that promote high student achievement and smooth transition to professional careers.

The role includes developing the 1L support curriculum, supervising instructors, and running a 0L week-long non-credit course.

Qualifications

• J.D. required and bar admission.
• 5+ years of experience as an academic success professional.
• Experience teaching in an academic-success or legal writing program.
• Experience in analyzing student outcomes and preparing reports.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the 1L specialist and responsible success professional for part-time students.
• Teach academic success courses (not to exceed 4 per academic year) and provide targeted academic support.
• Conduct workshops on learning strategies, test-taking, time management and organizational skills.
• Advise students on academic planning and work with faculty to support student wellbeing and success.
• Prepare reports on student outcomes and program accomplishments.
