Job summary

Oil-Dri Corporation of America, a leading sorbents manufacturer, seeks an Associate Customer Portal Specialist in Chicago, IL. The role features a hybrid schedule with onsite Monday–Wednesday at the Wrigley Building, handling data entry for orders, shipments and invoices.

You will input data, perform quality checks, support portal users, collaborate with internal teams, and generate reports on data accuracy and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with data entry and customer portals preferred.
  • Experience in B2B customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Input and update customer data, orders, shipments, and invoices in portals.
  • Perform regular data quality checks for accuracy.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Associate Customer Portal Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing and inputting data into customer portals, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of information related to orders, shipments, and invoices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Hybrid Schedule

Monday – Wednesday onsite required. Chicago, IL (Wrigley Building)

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately input and update customer information, orders, shipments, and invoices into the designated portals.
  • Ensure the integrity and completeness of data by performing regular quality checks.
  • Monitor and manage customer portals to ensure data is up-to-date and reflective of current transactions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any portal-related issues in collaboration with the IT or support team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for accurate data entry.
  • Communicate with customers to verify data, address discrepancies, and provide assistance in navigating the portal.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in data entry and portal management.
  • Propose and implement efficiency enhancements to streamline workflows.
  • Maintain detailed and organized records of customer interactions and data entry activities.
  • Generate reports as needed to track key performance indicators and monitor data accuracy.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional education or certifications in data management is a plus.
  • Customer Service experience in B2B markets is a plus.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a customer service or order management role.
  • Familiarity with customer portals and online order processing systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with data entry software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
