The Assistant Counsel, reporting to the Deputy Director of the Trade Practices Bureau within the Office of General Counsel at the Office of Cannabis Management, conducts depositions and subpoena hearings and analyzes corporate and financial documents for investigations.

You will draft memoranda, prepare hearing outlines, interview witnesses, and consult with parties on investigations and settlements, with travel about 10%, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Admission to and membership in good standing of the New York State Bar.
• Two years of subsequent professional legal experience.
• Experience in civil or criminal litigation or analyzing complex financial documents.
• Valid NYS driver's license or demonstrated capacity to meet transportation needs.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%, including evenings and weekends.
