State of New York's Office of Cannabis Management is seeking Assistant Counsel to support the Legal Division. The role focuses on agency contracts, HR matters, FOIL issues, and providing legal advice to the Director of Administration and executives.

The incumbent will draft and review agreements, advise on labor relations, conduct research, and help implement ethics policies to support agency programs and operations.

Formación

• Admission to the New York State Bar and two years of professional legal experience.
• Resumes must include month and year for start and end dates; indicate average hours if part time.

Responsabilidades

• Advise the Director of Administration and executives on legal matters.
• Draft and review contracts and memoranda of understanding for OCM programs.
• Review procurements with vendors and coordinate with OSC, the Budget Office, and AG’s office.
• Coordinate with NYS Office of Employee Relations; advise leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda with opinions and precedents.
