Job summary

AMC Global Media Inc. in New York, NY is seeking an Associate Counsel to join its Legal team. The role provides day-to-day legal support across production, finance, and HR, with a focus on rights, IP, and employment matters.

You will review production agreements, counsel on copyright and trademark issues, and help manage the litigation docket. The position requires a J.D. and NY Bar admission, plus at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active New York Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of two years of legal experience, including litigation-focused work.
• In-house experience at a studio or media company preferred.
• Knowledge of IP, labor, defamation, and rights of publicity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel to diverse business units.
• Review content production rights and defamation risk.
• Assist in managing the litigation docket and strategy.
• Analyze contracts and advise on potential risks.
• Draft and negotiate production-related agreements with Studio teams.
• Help develop Studio and Corporate forms and policies.
