Brightcore Energy in New York, NY seeks an Associate Counsel to support its geothermal, energy efficiency and solar projects. You will draft, negotiate and manage a range of commercial agreements, collaborate with finance, project development and operations teams, and advise on regulatory matters.

The ideal candidate has a NY bar license, a U.S. law degree, at least four years of transactional experience in energy or construction, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited US law school and active New York license.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-law school transactional experience, ideally both in a law firm and in-house.
• Strong track record drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and manage construction, project development, and other commercial/strategic agreements (EPC, O&M, subcontract, vendor, NDAs).
• Manage contract lifecycle from negotiation through execution and compliance.
• Support tax credit and incentive programs with finance and advisors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze, communicate and mitigate legal risks.
