Job summary

CenterPoint Energy seeks an Associate Control Systems Engineer in Houston to support PME and ETAP for power system modeling, monitoring, and analysis. You will develop PMU data visualizations and assist streaming PMU data to ERCOT for reliability and compliance.

You will implement and deploy software, validate upgrades, collect and validate engineering data, document requirements, and create dashboards to improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Internship or co-op in electric utility or power engineering preferred.
• Experience with power system software and data analysis.
• Ability to document requirements and support testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and deploying power system software.
• Support upgrades and validation testing.
• Gather data from multiple internal systems and validate it.
• Develop reports and dashboards to improve engineering workflows.
• Help evaluate new features and automate processes.
