Job summary

Certus Recruitment, partnering with an established engineering, program management and construction management consultancy, invites applications for an Associate Construction Manager role in Colorado. Fort Collins projects span water, utilities, transportation, and municipal facilities with a salary range of $80,000–$120,000 plus bonus and benefits.

The role offers ownership of project delivery across planning, delivery, commissioning and closeout, with travel to project sites as needed and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of progressive engineering and construction experience.
• Experience in construction/project management and contract administration.
• Strong understanding of construction quality, inspection, testing and documentation.
• Experience managing project schedules, costs and multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with contractors, engineers, clients and public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Managing project controls across cost, schedule, quality and overall performance.
• Coordinating contractors, engineers, utilities, government agencies and clients.
• Reviewing project schedules, critical paths, float and construction progress.
• Supporting contract administration, including pay applications, change orders and field directives.
• Conducting site inspections and field observations.
• Monitoring contractor work against plans, specifications, codes and approved submittals.
• Managing construction QA/QC documentation and material testing.
• Preparing progress reports, project dashboards, meeting minutes and project records.
• Maintaining record drawings and as-built documentation.
• Supporting construction-grade surveying and field layout verification where required.
• Coordinating commissioning, punch lists, testing, warranties and final project closeout.
