Job summary

NIQ is seeking a data-driven professional to leverage NIQ tools and analytics to answer client business questions in a CPG environment. You will work with Account Leads to enhance the customer experience, integrate AI into workflows, and translate data into compelling, actionable insights.

The role emphasizes on-site collaboration, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and the ability to coach peers while developing innovative analyses and participating in thought leadership initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in the CPG industry or related sales, category management, or market research.
  • Experience with NielsenIQ (or similar) solutions including POS & Panel data.
  • Willingness to work on-site with possible in-office requirements over time.
  • Curious, data-driven storytelling to answer business questions.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Expertise in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Digital savviness and fast learner of new concepts/tools.
  • Ability to coach others in data analyses and NIQ tools.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Work as a master of proprietary NIQ tools and metrics, and use these to help solve clients' business questions along with helping to diminish/eliminate client concerns & roadblocks to drive usage
  • Work with the Account Leads to elevate the customer experience
  • Integrate AI into workflows to drive efficiency, unlock new insights, and maximize analytical impact
  • During briefing sessions, independently respond to field business questions and develop analytical outlines that leverage multiple NIQ solutions into a cohesive story
  • Simplify/visualize data and translate numbers into a compelling story for clients with insightful callouts and actionable recommendations
  • Prepare and present insights/recommendations, using NIQ standards
  • Drive customer satisfaction through analyses and delivery of relevant and impactful insights
  • Identify revenue leads in an independent way and take ownership in partnering with Account Lead to convert these into revenue opportunities
  • Take initiative to remove roadblocks when they arise
  • Lead by example, guiding and coaching junior team members
  • Participate in Thought Leadership Projects
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of experience in the CPG industry and/or related sales, category management, market research
  • Prior experience with NielsenIQ (or similar) solutions preferred in analytics space, including POS & Panel data
  • Openness to working on‑site with the potential for increased in‑office requirements over time
  • Curious person who likes building stories based on data to answer business questions
  • Strong analytical mind and excellent numerical skills
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • Digital savvy & fast learner of concepts/ tools/ analyses
  • Ability to coach others in data analyses and working with the NIQ tools
Benefits

This role has a market‑competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation of the following range: $69,800 - $83,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a sales‑based incentive or performance‑based bonus.
