Reporting to a Senior Engineer, this registered professional engineer level position contributes to regulatory compliance, water treatment projects, data analysis, and the design review of capital improvements while integrating advanced analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ABET-accredited civil engineering or CA EIT.
• Four years of professional civil engineering experience.
• California registration as a Professional Civil Engineer.
• Ability to perform office and field duties with a valid CA driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drinking water regulatory compliance programs.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and analyze water quality across the system.
• Plan and carry out bench- and pilot-scale experiments for treatment technologies and capital projects.
• Develop water quality monitoring plans, coordinate sampling, and analyze data.
• Conduct watershed sanitary surveys.
• Review capital project designs for water quality issues.
• Assess regulatory changes and their impact to District operations.
• Support analytics and work-management system enhancements.
