Job summary

East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer in the Process Engineering Section of the Water Quality Office. The role focuses on drinking water regulatory compliance, water quality engineering, and support for treatment facilities and distribution systems.

Reporting to a Senior Engineer, you will plan and conduct bench- and pilot-scale tests, review capital projects for water quality implications, analyze data, and help implement data analytics and work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ABET-accredited civil engineering or closely related field.
• Four years of professional civil engineering experience after degree.
• California Professional Civil Engineer license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drinking water regulatory compliance programs.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and analyze water quality strategies across the system ( Watersheds, reservoirs, treatment plants, distribution ).
• Plan and conduct bench-scale and pilot-scale tests for water treatment technologies.
• Review capital project designs for water quality issues and regulatory impact.
• Support implementation of advanced data analytics and visualization tools for Water Operations.
