Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in ABET-accredited civil engineering.
• Four years of professional engineering experience after degree.
• California registration as a Professional Civil or Mechanical Engineer.
• Possession of a valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-departmental efforts to develop engineering solutions for key initiatives and capital projects.
• Prepare and implement wastewater master plans, facility plans, and environmental reviews.
• Direct the work of staff including assistants and junior engineers across interdisciplinary teams.
• Develop and manage the Wastewater Department's capital budget.
• Represent EBMUD in external meetings and industry associations.
• Prepare feasibility studies and engineering financial analyses for decision making.
• Coordinate with outside agencies to protect infrastructure.
