Job summary

Ellsworth Adhesives, located in Germantown, WI, is seeking an Associate Chemist to support product formulation, qualification, and transfer of products through commercialization. This 100% on-site role works with customers and the sales force to develop target specifications and ensure rapid, high-quality results.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, with strong customer focus and safety awareness.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional related work experience.
• Bachelor’s in Chemistry or related field is required.
• Strong focus on customers with ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations.
• Responds promptly to customer needs while soliciting customer feedback to improve service.
• Continuously pursues training and development opportunities to improve technical skills.
• Observes safety and security procedures to identify and report on potentially unsafe conditions.
• Demonstrated ability to use lab equipment and materials properly.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with sales force and customers to collect application targets
• Maintains positive customer relationships, creates plans, and commits timelines to customers and sales team
• Leads projects with formulation direction from senior team members
• Prepares new product formulations to the design criteria specified by customers with a primary focus on modifications of existing products
• Analyzes products using laboratory instruments, procedures, and test methods
• Documents all laboratory plans, processes, and results in electronic laboratory notebook

This role reports into KitPackers, LLC, an Ellsworth Corporation company, located in Germantown, WI. This is a 100% on-site role at our facility in Germantown.

This role works with internal and external customers to generate design plans and completes raw material qualifications, validates properties of new products, reformulates and supports current products, and creates new product formulations. It also assists with transfer of products through the commercialization process.
