Job summary

Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital in Spokane, WA is hiring Part-Time Associate Chaplains to provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

As a member of the spiritual health team, you will implement the facility’s mission and policies while collaborating with the care team to support whole-person care in a compassionate, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• 2 Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) units.
• Graduate studies of 32–48 credit hours in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry, or equivalent education.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire.

The Associate Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of care recipients and caregivers in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.

As a member of the healthcare team, the Associate Chaplain is directly responsible for implementing the mission, values, policies, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.
