Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital seeks a Chaplain to deliver professional spiritual care and emotional support to patients and families in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As part of the spiritual health team, you will align with our mission and values while respecting diverse faiths, cultures, and beliefs.

Responsibilities include collaborative care with the health care team, honoring patient choices, and contributing to a compassionate care environment at Providence Centralia

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or equivalent.
  • Four clinical pastoral education units completed.
  • National Chaplain Certification within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional spiritual care ministry across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
  • Support patients, families, and staff with religious and emotional needs as part of the healthcare team.
  • Uphold the mission, values, and policies of the Department of Spiritual Health Services.

Description

The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, polices, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations or equivalent education/experience.
  • Coursework/Training: Four clinical pastoral education units.
  • Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
