Job summary

Providence St. Joseph's Hospital-Chewelah in Washington is seeking a Chaplain to provide professional spiritual care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings as part of the healthcare team.

You will support the mission and values of Providence, address the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and pastoral care colleagues.

Qualifications

Description


The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, polices, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

Required Qualifications:


  • Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations or equivalent education/experience.

  • Coursework/Training: Four clinical pastoral education units.

  • Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
