Job Description
JLL is recruiting for an associate broker to support brokerage activities and engage with owners, executives, and corporate real‑estate decision makers. The role requires strong work ethic, ambition for career development, and aptitude to handle complex transactions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare offering materials for new or existing assignments and pursuits utilizing effective work planning capabilities.
- Create sophisticated Excel‑based analytical tools including macro‑enabled financial models and running ad‑hoc financial analysis.
- Assist with the preparations of presentation and pitch materials for new business pursuits.
- Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real‑estate market data for client deliverables and valuation models.
- Read and review real‑estate documents (leases, operating expense statements, environmental and engineering reports, appraisals, etc.) and prepare abstract reports for clients and prospective clients.
- Serve as the point of contact for tracking, management, and reporting.
- Review and analyze client’s quantitative portfolio data, legal documents, and other materials as part of the due diligence process.
- Attend JLL University (JLLU) – a 13‑week training, development, and networking program for new associate brokers.
- Support senior brokers in initiating business development activities and outreach to new leads (cold calls, warm calls, emails, etc.).
- Shadow senior brokers in transaction negotiation, evaluation, and documentation.
- Contribute to local market research requests: market snapshots, overviews, quarterly decks, and topic‑specific research to support pitches and brokerage opportunities.
Qualifications
- Entry level to 3+ years in commercial real estate.
- Strong computer orientation and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners.
- Ability to multi‑task, work successfully under pressure and manage time and workload effectively.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field.
- State Real Estate License – must have within 90 days of hire.
- Permitted to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Compensation and Location
Estimated compensation: $44,000.00 – $44,000.00 USD per year.
Location: On‑site – Chicago, IL.
