Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Associate Biologist to join our southern California Ecosystems Group, operating from one of several southern California offices including Paramount. You will lead field teams, conduct surveys, prepare technical reports, and assist in permitting and business development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Ecology, Natural Resources Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of related experience conducting biological resources surveys and preparing technical reports.
Ability to travel and work field and office blends.
Strong written and verbal communication for technical reporting and coordination with regulators.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor field teams on multi-disciplinary projects in various sectors.
Schedule and conduct field tasks such as surveys and delineations.
Prepare and review technical reports and CEQA/NEPA documentation.
Support business development and proposal efforts with scoping and cost inputs.
Coordinate with clients and regulators to communicate survey results and permitting strategies.
