Job summary

Bluehost is seeking a backend engineer to build and maintain Python services, optimize MySQL queries, and support Linux-based production systems at scale. You will work on internal tools and automations, ensuring reliability and performance in a fast-moving hosting environment.

• Use AI across the delivery lifecycle – coding, debugging, tests, and ramping on unfamiliar code – and review what it generates before you ship it, checking it against the codebase rather than trusting it on sight.
• Pair with senior engineers to turn requirements into well-tested, maintainable, production-ready code.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and team documentation, building habits that scale as you grow.
• Help troubleshoot and resolve production issues alongside the broader Hosting team, learning incident response as you go
