Job summary

Morgan & Morgan in Florida is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our robust Workers' Compensation practice group. The in-office position is based in our Naples or Fort Myers office.

You will handle day-to-day case management, draft and file litigation documents, and guide clients through the process. A JD, active Florida Bar in good standing, and 1+ year workers' compensation experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida State Bar in good standing.
• 1+ year of workers' compensation experience preferred.
• Ability to manage a high volume of cases.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Self-starter with long-term career goals.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of cases and hearings
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, and memoranda
• Guide clients through the case process
• Interact with expert witnesses, including drafting reports and affidavits
• Attend and prepare for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
