Job summary

Orion Placement, a boutique law practice focused on probate, trust, and estate matters, seeks an attorney for a fully remote role based near Los Angeles, admitted to the California bar with 3+ years of litigation experience.

You will draft pleadings, handle trust and estate litigation from inception through trial, prepare for probate court appearances, and assist with administrations while working under senior attorneys.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of demonstrated litigation experience.
• Strong interest in probate, trusts, estate law, and related litigation.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Strong academic record preferred; law review experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Support trust and estate litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Prepare for and make appearances in probate courts.

• Support conservatorship and guardianship matters and assist with client representation throughout the matter.
• Work under the guidance of senior attorneys and partners while developing increasing ownership of assigned matters.
• Collaborate with attorneys and team members to deliver timely, high-quality legal work.
• Adapt quickly to firm processes, technology, and a specialized area of practice.
• Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.
