The role emphasizes litigation support, drafting pleadings, negotiations, and appearances in hearings, mediations, and trials. Texas bar admission and strong organizational and communication skills are required; a full-benefit package is included.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in Texas and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties.
• Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc., in furtherance of active litigation files.
• Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action.
• Advocate on behalf of the client’s interests at various litigation settings.
• Utilize internal proprietary software to properly update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory.
• Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and litigation files, as assigned by the Managing Attorney, to ensure proper litigation workflow.
• Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures.
• Travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required.
• Prepare for and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including case strategy development, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and presenting oral arguments.
• Negotiate settlements with consumers and their legal representatives to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting client interests.
• Evaluate case merits, assess risk exposure, and provide strategic legal recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and court procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
