A confidential plaintiff-side employment litigation practice is seeking an associate attorney to support a busy California employment docket, including wage and hour, discrimination, whistleblower, and related claims. This is a 100% litigation role suited to an attorney who enjoys writing, ownership of matters, and working in a high-trust environment.

THE ROLE
- Handle all phases of employment litigation, including case assessment, pleadings, discovery, and motion practice.
- Draft and revise demand letters, complaints, written discovery, and substantive motions.
- Support deposition preparation and strategy, including outlines and exhibit organization.
- Assist with settlement strategy and participation in mediations and negotiations.
- Work across matters involving wage and hour, discrimination/harassment/retaliation, whistleblower claims, and related labor and employment issues.

REQUIREMENTS
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership.
- 1 to 4 years of experience; employment law experience preferred.
- Professional maturity and emotional discipline in a high-trust, high-responsibility environment.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
- Experience representing employees in employment matters (or employer-side experience with a clear interest in transitioning to employee-side litigation).
- Interest in business development and case origination (commission structure available).
