A nationally recognized plaintiff-side employment law firm in California is seeking an experienced Senior Employment Attorney to join its high-performing litigation team. In addition to delivering results, the firm is deeply committed to training and developing elite trial attorneys in a collaborative and supportive environment.

This role is designed for a seasoned litigator who is ready for meaningful responsibility and hands-on courtroom work. Attorneys in this position take an active role in shaping litigation strategy, lead and defend high-stakes depositions, and serve as first- or second-chair at trial when appropriate. You will manage a strategic docket with substantial autonomy while working alongside experienced trial attorneys and a well-resourced support team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial briefs
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear in court to argue motions and advocate on behalf of clients
• Communicate directly with clients and contribute to overall case strategy
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Assist with trial preparation and serve as second chair as needed

Qualifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
• Minimum of three (3) years of plaintiff-side employment litigation experience
• Deposition experience required; trial experience strongly preferred
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage cases independently, lead litigation strategy, and mentor junior attorneys
• Base salary range: $150,000–$200,000, based on experience
• Performance-based commissions up to 3.5%
