Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced associate attorney for their Litigation Practice Area in Boston, MA. The associate will support attorneys in all phases of litigation, from inception through discovery and trial. This full-time position offers a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three in-office days.
Duties
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence with accuracy.
- Assist in all phases of litigation, including motions, depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Prepare, review, and analyze discovery productions to identify key documents.
- Handle court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
- Communicate with clients, providing legal advice and status updates.
- Research case law, statutes, and regulations impacting clients.
- Provide status updates to assigning attorneys.
- Assist in trial preparation and manage a litigation caseload.
- Help train and develop junior associates, paralegals, and staff.
Requirements
- Five to ten years of experience in commercial litigation.
- Strong academic background with a Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts; multiple state Bar admissions are a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
- Time management and multitasking abilities.
- Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Education
- Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.
