Job summary

JLG Lawyers is seeking an Associate Attorney for our Employment Litigation department in California. You will help scale the firm’s employment practice, serving a growing client base of individuals alleging discrimination, harassment, wage issues and wrongful termination.

The role includes managing cases from pre-litigation through settlement with support from a skilled staff and advanced systems. Ideal candidates possess 4+ years of employment litigation experience, deposition skills, and solid

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in employment litigation.
• Knowledge of California Civil Procedure and Local Court Rules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Superior time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.
• Experience with employment disputes including wrongful terminations, FEHA claims, labor code violations, PAGA and wage and hour claims.

Responsibilities

As our Associate Attorney in our Employment Litigation department, you will work to help scale the firm’s employment practice, to service the ever-growing number of Californians who have been illegally discriminated against, harassed, unfairly compensated, subjected to a unfair hostile work environment and/or wrongfully terminated.

Daily Tasks:

• Management of cases from pre-litigation through settlement, with the support of a strong staff and advanced automated systems that optimize case efficiency (including CompuLaw, NetDocuments, Clio, and others)
• Deposition experience strongly preferred.
