Permanent Placements LLC client, a nationally recognized law firm, seeks a Labor & Employment Associate with 3-5 years' experience to join its Los Angeles office.

The successful candidate will handle employment litigation for employers, perform legal research, draft pleadings, and advise on compliance. A J.D. and California Bar membership are required; base salary $260,000–$350,000 with performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Our client, a nationally recognized law firm, is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Los Angeles office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking to build a sophisticated employment litigation practice. The successful candidate will work on a broad range of employment law matters, gain significant client exposure, and collaborate with an established labor and employment team handling complex workplace disputes and counseling matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in a variety of employment litigation matters
• Handle all phases of litigation, including:
• Case assessment and strategy
• Discovery
• Depositions
• Motion practice
• Mediation and settlement negotiations
• Trial preparation
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents
• Conduct legal research and provide practical legal analysis
• Advise clients regarding employment law compliance and risk management issues
• Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy and workforce-related matters
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
