Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Connecticut Bar admission required.
• 2–6 years of litigation experience.
• Experience in civil defense litigation or insurance coverage preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Connecticut practice and procedure.
• Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding organizational and case management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day litigation activities across a variety of civil matters.
• Assist in defending clients in personal injury, premises liability, commercial litigation, and other civil disputes.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments and strategy.
• Attend and defend depositions.
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Assist with trial preparation and trial support.
