Jobot is seeking a dynamic Junior Associate Attorney for a civil and commercial litigation role in Middletown, CT. You will handle complex matters, support senior attorneys, draft pleadings, and conduct legal research in a fast-paced environment.

Required: JD from an accredited school, CT Bar admission (surrounding states a plus), 1–3 years of general litigation experience, strong writing and negotiation skills. On-site position with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• 1–3 years of experience in general litigation.
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar. Admission in surrounding states a plus.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of complex legal matters in general, civil, and commercial liability.
• Assist senior attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Represent clients in court and advocate on their behalf.
• Negotiate settlements in civil litigation cases.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments that may affect clients.
