Decolator, Cohen & DiPrisco, LLP (DCD) is a personal injury practice that specializes in all areas of personal injury including automobile accidents, premise liability, construction and product liability. DCD has particular expertise in helping members of the law enforcement community who have been injured in the line-of-duty in addition to protecting the rights of civilians as a result of negligence on the part of third parties.

Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Attorney to join our legal team in Garden City, New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Personal Injury Law – General Municipal Law 205e – dealing with motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, trips and falls, dog bite and assault cases. They must be a team player and able to work efficiently.

This role requires:

• Contacting clients and managing personal relationships
• Appearing for virtual and in-person court conferences and motion appearances
• Drafting motions, oppositions, reply briefs, and appeals
• Working in-office 5 days a week work with an expectation of ~50 hours

Salary is commensurate with experience. Range $150,000-$200,000

Education and Professional Expertise

• Bachelor’s Degree and JD required
• Admission to the NY State Bar and Southern and Eastern District of NY required
• 5+ years of experience in Personal Injury law required
• Knowledge of General Municipal Law 205e preferred
