A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Global Finance team in New York City, NY. Duties

1. Represent both lenders and borrowers in mortgage loan warehouse transactions, including repurchase facilities and loan-on-loan structures.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate term sheets and other transaction documents for financing facilities.
3. Work closely with deal teams to manage key aspects of transactions, from term sheet to closing.
4. Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients involved in complex financing transactions.
5. Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to ensure successful deal execution.
6. Conduct legal research on industry regulations and market trends in mortgage lending.
7. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing mortgage loan transactions.

Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience in mortgage loan warehouse and repurchase facility transactions.
• Hands-on experience with the preparation and negotiation of financing transaction documents.
• Prior experience as a key member of a deal team, managing aspects of transactions from term sheet to closing.
• Experience in commercial or residential mortgage loan warehouse transactions preferred; ABS warehouse experience considered.
• Large law firm experience is highly preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in New York or ability to obtain it.
