Job summary

Clausen Miller P.C. is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Texas practice, located in Austin or San Antonio or surrounding communities. The role focuses on first-party property, professional liability, and general casualty defense, with early courtroom exposure and client interaction.

This junior attorney position offers direct partner mentorship, hands-on experience in depositions, hearings, and trial preparation, and a flexible hybrid or remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Active license in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 1–3 years of litigation experience preferred; first-year attorneys with civil litigation exposure considered.
• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
• Self-starter who thrives in an independent and flexible work environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with clients and develop strong professional relationships.
• Manage written discovery and prepare strategic case analyses.
• Draft and argue motions and engage in motion practice.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Appear in court and participate in hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Assist with trial preparation and post-trial motions, including appeals.

What You’ll Do
